Thank You For Visiting
The Harringay Lodge Website

The site contains information, pictures and other information about our Lodge which is a part of the Metropolitan Grand Lodge of London.

Please feel free to browse. Whether or not you are a Freemason, hopefully hope you will find something here to interest you.

Many people have strange perceptions about Freemasonry and Freemasons and we hope your visit to this site will help to dispel any misunderstandings you may have.

We will tell you something about Freemasonry in general, give you an idea of who can become a Freemason and also give you some information about the history and achievements of our own Lodge, which draws members from across the country and the continent.

You may also use one of the links to find out how our charitable contributions are dispersed. Many people are surprised to discover just how much of our money - and we never solicit funds from members of the public - is given to deserving non Masonic causes, from local Hospices and medical research organisations to national Cathedrals.

Times have changed and there's an openness about Freemasonry that there never used to be. But what has not changed, is the importance of a Freemason's faith in God.

The first question a candidate for membership is asked concerns his trust in his God and from the beginning the sacred scriptures of his own particular faith are commended as his rule and guide, pointing out the duty he owes to God, his neighbour and himself.

Freemasonry is not a religion, it does not replace a person's faith, rather does it reinforce what our own faith teaches. Irrespective of our religious affiliations, we try to work in love and harmony with each other. One might wish that many more people shared that view in these days.

All good wishes and may your God go with you.
